Diamond Approach Norway – New International Group in 2026
DANOR
Norway’s first on-going Diamond Approach Group starts
Oslo, 6-8 March 2026
DANOR is an ongoing Diamond Approach® teaching group to support spiritual growth and inner realization. This is an opportunity to deepen your engagement with this modern spiritual path, which brings a unique understanding of ancient spiritual wisdom and modern psychology. It is an adventure into our true potential, non-dual reality and the mystery of being.
This teaching invites us to live in a way that both reflects and develops presence and essential qualities such as love, joy, strength, peace, compassion, curiosity and will – and an unrelenting engagement with what is.
General information about the retreats
During the first year, we will meet in person for every retreat. The retreats will be non-residential in central Oslo. Oslo is easily accessible from all major European airports, and the venue is only half an hour by train from the airport, followed by a 5-minute walk from the Central Station. In the second year, we will hold two of the four retreats on Zoom. The teaching language is English.
Retreat/Weekend dates 2026:
- March 6-8
- May 8-10
- September 11-13
- November 27-29
There will be two separate zoom meetings in between every retreat: one teaching meeting and one small group/integration meeting.
The structure of our ongoing meetings typically starts with a meditation and sensing practice, followed by the presentation of a teaching and our core practice of inquiry. The inquiry is usually done in groups of two or three, followed by time for questions and comments. The group and the teachings will support you in being right where you are, which brings forth the richness that is available to us when we allow our experience. We will also look at what is in the way of simply being with what is here. These explorations will be personal and experiential, supported by practices that you can bring into your life to support transformation.
The weekends start Friday at 14 CET and end on Sunday at 17 CET. The retreats are non-residential.
About the Path We’ll Take Together
The Diamond Approach® is a path of spiritual realization characterized by sincere inquiry into one’s experience, fueled by the love of truth. The work is multi-faceted, and our exploration together is ongoing. We will look at historical structures that limit our ability to see ourselves as True Nature itself, and as we begin to taste this nature, we discover deeper and deeper truths. As we taste the richness and immediacy of our living presence, this presence awakens and transforms what we are and how we live.
As an important support for your individual process as a member of the group, we require that you have a minimum of two one-on-one sessions with a DA teacher per year. During our retreats, and on Zoom in the time between, we will assign students to small groups of 8-15. The purpose of small group is integration work and to engage in guided inquiry with a DA teacher.
How Our Group Will Evolve
In the future, DANOR will close to new members. At this point, the group will become a consistent cohort, allowing further trust and cohesion. For some, this becomes a lifelong process of discovery together. And always your individual process is central, which means you may choose to leave the group at any time.
Inner Work is Not Easy
The intention in forming DANOR is to gather a group of individuals who are sincerely dedicated to the inner spiritual journey. Previous experience with the Diamond Approach is not expected or required, but a personal desire to commit to the work of spiritual self-knowing is essential. This work is not for everyone; it is challenging and can confront different aspects of our familiar sense of self. We welcome anyone who is drawn to this journey. Toward this end, the application process below is important so we can determine together if this work is right for you.
How to Apply
To find out if this path is for you and to meet the teachers, you are welcome to attend the first retreat 6-8 March 2026. You can attend two retreat weekends before you will be asked to commit to the group. You then must fill in an application/questionnaire for us to get to know you better and help us determine if this is the right fit for you. Committing means coming to all retreats and when you cannot attend for whatever reason, listening to the recordings of the teachings you’ve missed and doing the exercises in your own time, as well as pay the corresponding membership dues.
Anticipated program costs:
- 4800,- NOK per weekend, including in-between teaching and small group/integration meeting on Zoom.
- 1300,- NOK per private session.
- There are possibilities for scholarship for those who objectively need support. Please reach out to us regarding this if you are experiencing financial challenges.
- In time, there will be a student-to-student fund distributing financial support.
- Centrally in the Ridhwan School, we have the Diamond Approach Youth Fund that gives scholarships to individuals below the age of 40, for both retreat fees and private sessions.
